The term Todler comes from the word ‘toddle’ or learning how to walk
steadily. Another term for a young child, a Todler is one who has entered
their second stage of development which follows infancy. This is around the
age of one to three years of age.
Todlers typically love toys, games, sleeping in beds with their favorite
blanket, pushing strollers, and of course – their daily bottle of milk! It’s
nice when a child graduates from formula to milk, and wobbles around the
furniture in their shoes wearing Toodler clothes. They are old enough to
understand a lot about social roles and develop motor skills; to toddle is
to walk unsteadily. The term cruising is commonly given to toddlers who
can’t toddle but walk around holding something for support.
A Todler’s developmental timeline tells us what an average toddler can do at
what age. Times vary dynamically from child to child. It is quite common for
some Todlers to become good at certain skills such as walking well before
they develop other skills like learning how to talk in language form. Even
siblings born closely apart can vary quite a bit in the time they take to
achieve each significant milestone.
Its time to buy things wholesale especially clothes and dresses as the
todler will
have outgrown clothes you picked up at Halloween by the time Christmas comes
around! You will be thanking your lucky stars if you bought a big crib, as
they will begin to outgrow it very soon.
